Closing time...

This week, my volunteer work with Juan and DeMarcus comes to an end.

These two boys have taught me so much and how I want to handle my own classroom, and how I want to help students who are learning English as their second language.

It's bittersweet, really. And I hope to one day look back on these boys and know they showed me that reading does not come naturally to everyone, and to remember to be patient.

As much as I complain about the Education curriculum at Texas A&M, none of it is pointless.

Beautiful day, beautiful children, beautiful world.
